How much do Scrolling Signs cost?
Our Scrolling signs are built-to-order and the price varies greatly depending on customizable features. Pricing begins at $400 and goes up to $2,000+. All signs must be a square or rectangular shape to fit your window, available wall space, or to match the width of your existing exterior signage. Customizable features include:
- The size of your sign
- Whether you want single or double lines of text
- If you prefer single, tri-color, or full-color
- Desired viewing range
- Easy to use Digital Signage software
- Silicon vandal proof coating
- 300 stored images and animations!
- How large you want your pitch/text resolution to be—15, 20, 25, or 30 millimeters
The smaller your pitch the greater your clarity and viewing range.
LED displays are energy efficient and cost 30% less than fluorescent and incandescent signs to operate. Saving you big money in the long run for your marketing and overall overhead budget.
How do I program my Scrolling Sign?
You can program your sign from anywhere with internet connection and the software that comes with your MEGA LED sign. The software dashboard is intuitive, and you or your team will quickly learn your way around it. We promise it’s easy, but if you have any questions, we offer free tech support. For fast and easy edits, you can use the remote keypad which works within 200 feet of the sign.
Programmable features include creating new text messages, arranging the order messages alternate, adjusting scrolling speed, how long you rest on stationary text, adjusting between 10 levels of brightness, 1 or 2 lines of text, and scheduling the order and time of day messages post.
Get creative as you can choose between 38-character functions, 32 fun effects, and over 300 stored images and animations. If you have a multi-color sign, you’ll also have to select the text color—of which red, green, and white are the most popular colors.
If you would like more than 2 lines of text you may want to upgrade from a Versa scrolling signs to a Premier sign.
Do I need a sign designer for my Scrolling Signs?
No! Unlike HD and image signs, you don’t need a digital designer. However, be creative! Plain text is effective but if you have a team member with an artistic eye, have them experiment with the character functions, font, animations, and images to create a standout message.
How far will my Scrolling Signs be visible from?
The larger your sign the farther the viewing range, but our smallest signs can be viewed from 200 feet away. Our largest most robust sign is the NASA countdown clock meant to be viewed from nearly a mile out!
How do I mount and Install my Scrolling Signs?
Unlike our other signage options, installation is fast, easy, and we will install it for you! Scrolling signs are lightweight and come with a wall, ceiling, or window mount. They plug into a standard 110 volt electrical outlet.
If your sign will be mounted to an exterior location, we will be able to help with the installation. Be sure to check local ordinances to see if you need a permit or license for window and exterior signage. Check your lease too for any sign restrictions. If any of this is too complicated or time consuming, rely on our LED service technicians to help you, as part of a courtesy to you – our customer.
Do I need a frame for my scrolling signs?
Most don’t, which is one of the reasons scrolling signs are so popular. Your sign comes standard with a black aluminum frame and will only require additional framing if you are layering it above or below another sign.
Our Omega line includes a custom mount and aluminum frame. The frame can be a standard rectangle or square and you can choose from a variety of decorative shapes and 80 frame colors. You can also have an engineer design a custom frame and mount.
Can I place my Scrolling Signs outside?
Yes! Windows are the most popular option, but your new sign has a protective aluminum frame and silicone coating to ensure full function both indoors and outside. Our signs are built with advanced technology and temperature tested to ensure full function in extreme temperatures ranging from -40 Fahrenheit to 160. This includes operating in rain, ice, snow, dry heat, and humidity.
How long will my Scrolling Signs last?
The average lifespan of digital signs is 100,000 hours, which is approximately 11 years for signs left on 24 hours per day. So, consider leaving your sign on during business hours—or keep it on after hours to stand out in the night sky. Your sign comes with a 3-year warranty.
What kind of cleaning and maintenance do Scrolling Signs require?
General cleaning is easy, just wipe your digital sign down with a microfiber cloth and electronics safe cleaning solution. Hire a local LED technician to perform your annual inspection, which includes checking the components, connectors, and hardware. Your LED tech will also perform periodic interior cleaning, which you should not attempt yourself. However for the most part, your Scrolling signs will be self sufficient for years to come, and our support team is standing by and ready to help you with any Scrolling signs related questions!
What should I post on my text only Scrolling Sign?
Your options are endless! Some of the most common messages include sales, promotions, BOGOs, current prices, upsell suggestions, exchange rates, daily quotes, inspirational messages, informative messages, schedule reminders, safety protocols, how to connect on social media, and more.
Once you get into the habit of changing your signs easily, you can even schedule morning, afternoon, and evening promotions highlighting different sales, and deals for each timeframe.
How can I tell if my Scrolling Sign is working?
To determine the ROI of your new sign, you must first determine your goals, then track the conversions, increased inquires, or any other measurable KPI. For example, track when you posted your BOGO on your sign and how much your sales increased after posting the sign.
How many Scrolling Signs should I order?
That’s up to you! Our Versa scrolling signs are a high-ROI and budget-friendly option. Consider more than one sign to boost your messaging, maybe one in each window, another that can be viewed while customers are in line, and one along the roadway. It isn’t uncommon to have several signs in different places around your business, school or church either.
Layering a variety of digital signs is also a popular option. Maybe a LED logo sign above your scrolling exterior sign or a scrolling sign under an HD and image sign.
