They look similar and have quite a few things in common, but your wall mounted LED screens may need more than a standard TV mount. Not to worry, as when you order wall mounted LED screens from Mega LED Technology—we include mounting in our price quote. If needed, we can even design a custom base and frame to fit your vision.
Can I Mount My Screen Myself?
If you have a small scrolling screen, mounting is DIY to any window or ceiling. These small screens are lightweight, and you can easily move them any time your window display or interior product displays change. The only downside is that their cord is always visible. These small signs don’t require a lot of power so you can plug them into a standard outlet.
If your sign is mid-sized or larger, it should be professionally installed. We include mounting in the cost of our larger signs so that your purchase is all-inclusive. Also, to ensure that your investment is protected with sound mounting. The cords and operating components won’t be visible.
Can You Use A Standard TV Mount For A Digital Display?
Maybe. There are a variety of factors to consider, including but not limited to:
- The size and weight of your LED screen.
- How sound the wall you are mounting to is.
- If there are studs in the place you want to mount your sign.
- What type of mount you are using.
- If you need a mount that allows the screen to tilt or move.
- And more!
Can You Mount To A Wall Without Studs?
Yes! Our team will assess the wall you want to mount to and discuss your options. If there aren’t studs where you want to mount or you are mounting to a non-wood wall, we may be able to mount from any combination of:
- Studs
- Anchors
- Toggle anchors
- Mounting plates
- Ceiling mounts
- And more!
What If I Need My Screen To Move?
Wall mounted LED screens are typically fixed, so they don’t move. However we at MEGA can create a custom solution for whatever your needs are. Need Wall mounted LED screens for your meeting room, work station, or even food truck? We can make that happen. Our custom solutions can be built around any form of fixture. If your sign isn’t too large or heavy you can mount it from:
- A swivel mount that allows you to pivot the screen left and right.
- A tilting mount that allows you to angle the screen up and down.
- A full-motion mount that combines swivel and tilt technology.
- A telescoping arm for mounting in the corner of a room, which may also have tilt and swivel functions.
- Custom mounts to meet your exact specs, such as a motorized mount.
What If I Don’t Want To Mount To A Wall?
You don’t have to mount your new screen to a wall! While it’s the most popular choice, you may prefer a floor mount or other custom mounts. Or you may not have wall space to mount to. Or you may not want to damage the stone, metal, or brick wall in your building.
Custom floor and pole mounts empower you to place your new screen anywhere you want to. This could be:
- Directly in front of a wall you don’t want to damage.
- To a multi-sided floor display.
- A floor-mounted lobby directory.
- Hidden in the floor or ceiling with a motorized mount.
- A pole we install the sign onto
We mentioned motorized mounts above. If space is an issue or you don’t need full-time access to your digital screen, a hidden floor or ceiling mount is ideal. It lowers and raises by remote control through your smart home or smart office system. Ask us about our custom mounting.
Can I Have More Than One Wall Mounted LED Screen?
Of course! Layered screens, a series of side-by-side screens, and video walls are all popular choices. The more screens you plan to mount to a wall, the more likely it is that you will need to have a custom mount built. We work with home theater and digital display engineers throughout North America who can safely and securely bring your multi-screen vision to life!
Can I Put My LED Screen Outside?
Yes of course! Everything except our Versa scrolling signs are built from scratch. Otherwise, your sign is custom-built to your unique specs. It can be any square or rectangular shape you desire, with components for either interior or exterior placement.
Our exterior signs are tested in environment chambers for heat exceeding 160 Fahrenheit and as low as -40 Fahrenheit. Externally, they are durable and tested to withstand rain, sleet, wind, ice, snow, heat, and humidity.
Can You Mount Exterior Signs To The Side Of A Building?
Maybe. Just like interior wall mounted LED screens, the building you mount to must be able to withstand the weight of your sign. However, your lease or local sign ordinances may prohibit mounting to the side of a building. Or they may restrict the size of your exterior signs.
If your business is in a strip mall and other businesses have digital signs, then you are likely good to go. Just check to see if a sign permit is required. Also, check with your landlord and the strip mall manager to inquire about sign size. For example, if you are adding a sign to a multi-business sign pole mount, your sign will likely be the same size as everyone else’s. But you may be able to go bigger, so be sure to ask.
What If My Exterior Sign Can’t Be Mounted To The Side Of The Building?
If you are allowed to have an exterior sign, but it can’t be mounted to the side of your building—or the side of the building is not an ideal place to mount—you can have a custom exterior mount designed. This often includes a custom frame designed to match your mount.
Your options are endless including:
- Pole mounts
- Pedestal mounts
- Brick and masonry mounts
- And more!
