LED lights are used in cinemas to mark the steps, guiding moviegoers to their seats. They are also used to point out different signage.
LED signs aren’t exactly a common sight in movie houses but only time will tell when cinema owners will begin to realize their importance especially in the promotion of films. They are a common fixture, though, in film festivals in the US and around the world.
Just for kicks, we listed three of the major international film festivals that, in one way or another, use LED sign to help promote their event. No wonder smaller film festivals have followed suit, and it won’t take long before movie houses also start employing a LED sign in their establishment.
The Big Three, as they are called, are the grandest, most prestigious film festivals in the world.
Venice Film Festival
Having started in 1952, the Venice Film Festival is the oldest international film festival in the world. It is held in the island of Lido in Venice, Italy every late August or early September.
Cannes Film Festival
The Cannes Film Festival takes place in Cannes, France usually in the month of May. It was founded in 1946 and has for president of the jury, the celebrated American filmmaker Steven Spielberg.
Berlin Film Festival
With the biggest audience turnout, the Berlin Film Festival is regarded as the biggest publicly attended event of its kind in the world. Formed in 1978, it is held every February in Berlin, Germany.
All of these film festivals screen films of all genres, as well as documentaries from around the world. Film enthusiasts have the organizers to thank as they continue to do everything to get the industry going. You can be sure LED sign manufacturers support the same cause.
